I can’t believe 2008 is already nearly 1/3 over! What the heck. So I’ve noticed that recent entries have mainly been long lists of funny links. I’ll attempt to be serious in this entry. So, the year has been a wildly eventful one for me.. on the inside. I look the same on the outside, but on the inside, I have learned to be still - it’s taken me a decade to learn how. At certain moments I think I must be half dead, for the surprising ability I’ve suddenly gained to completely separate myself from matters of dramatic element that would have felled a much less sturdy me, as little as two years ago. Maybe someone’s lobotomized me in my sleep, come to think of it.

Let’s see… the year thus far has passed in a flurry of houseguests, birthday celebrations, doggy love (the cuddly kind), and the sort of self-reflection that has had my artful self scribbling out lists and sub-lists and master lists. In the months ahead, look for a portfolio that I’m starting to put together now called myDC - hopefully it will have a home online as well. Look also for the results of the epic search for The Greatest DC Burger, which I’m happily chasing in the manner of wild coyotes. May the piggy gods forgive me.

Ok, serious=boring, and I think we’re all caught up now anyway. Starting tomorrow, I’ll post regularly the creatively goofy things that I still hear daily…
