fool

You think you know a person. You share joys and pains, hopes and disappointments. You smile when you see them, and cry when it’s time to say goodbye. You think about them fondly and wish them good things. You find out that you’ve been a damn fool and you didn’t know them at all.
In a moment, everything changes. The fragile heart breaks.
Isn’t life grand.
