I just bought a fanny pack online for my upcoming trip teeheeheeehehehehheheeeheee HEE!! YO QUEIRO TACO BELL EL BITCHOS!!  I’m so going to be that american that makes all americans in a 50 mile radius cringe. Whee! Which reminds me of a story.

So Kevin and I were in Cozumel and wanted to find a nice breakfast place off of the main strip. Some locals directed us to a place called Girasoles (sunflowers) a few blocks away from the water. It was simple and clean, with pink walls and a huge sunflower painted on the exterior wall of the building, and didn’t have the “mexican bling” like the touristy places, so we gave it a try. Turns out it was the best mexican food we’ve ever had. The guy at the next table wanted powdered sugar for his breakfast dish, and raised his voice louder each time the waitstaff (that hardly spoke any english) brought him something other than powdered sugar. The exasperated man finished off his tirade, red in the face, by miming snorting cocaine… “POWDERED SUGAR… it’s a POWDER.. you know, like cocaine??” He looked at us with big helpless eyes like we were supposed to help him out or something. It was one of the most embarassing moments I’ve ever had abroad as an american.
